M. W. and Margaret S. Schreffler Fund

Enhancing and enriching the lives of the elderly in Centre County

Story of Fund

Shreffler

The legacy of a "giving person" will continue forever through a bequest left by Margaret Schreffler of Pleasant Gap.  Mrs. Schreffler, who died in 1999, was especially concerned with the care the elderly received, leading her to provide seed money for The Oaks retirement community.  After she moved to the Oaks she realized that residents there and at similar facilities could always use additional entertainment and mental stimulation.

How Does it Help?

Grow old along with me! The best is yet to be, the last of life, for which the first was made. Our times are in his hand who saith, 'A whole I planned, youth shows but half; Trust God: See all, nor be afraid!

This fund is inspired by Margaret Schreffler's philanthropic passions, and through it benefits organizations that care for and enhance the lives of the elderly.
