Mincemoyer Family Baseball Fund

Inspiring student achievement through a family legacy

Story of Fund

Fund mincemoyer family

Betty Jane Mincemoyer wanted to create a legacy to her community while honoring the successes of her grandchildren and demonstrating to them the importance of giving back to your community.  She created four scholarship funds, one for each grandchild, and each fund honors a special interest or talent of that grandchild.
This fund was established to honor a team of exceptional baseball players.  The team was name the Little League Mid-Atlantic Champions in 2001 and later went on to the 2007 State Semi-finals as the State College High School baseball team.

How Does it Help?

I see great things in baseball. It's our game - the American game.

The fund shall provide a scholarship to a senior baseball player who excelled in baseball as a youth through high school and who exhibits good sportsmanship and enthusiasm for the game.

The mission of the SCASD is to prepare students for lifelong success through excellence in education. The district draws its students from a 150 square mile attendance area encompassing the Borough of State College and the surrounding townships of College, Ferguson, Halfmoon, Harris, and Patton, totaling an enrollment of approximately 6,900.
