R. Riggs and Gloria Griffith Fund

Improving lives in Centre County by responding to current needs

Story of Fund

Riggs

Riggs and Gloria Griffith established their donor-advisor fund in 2008 at Centre Foundation. As active members of the community, they are able to continue their philanthropic activities in a hands-on manner each year through this fund. Riggs is a retired investment manager and a former Centre Foundation board member; he currently serves on the Investment Committee in an advisory role. The Griffiths are also members of Centre Foundation's Campbell Legacy Society

They reside at The Village at  Penn State and enjoy local, personal, and renowned works of art. Their picture appeared in the January 2017 edition of Town & Gown as part of a spread entitled "Capturing Classic Moments on Film," in which the Griffiths recreated a scene from Now Voyager.

How Does it Help?

Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.

The R. Riggs and Gloria Griffith Fund supports organizations that the donor-advisors have an interest in funding. As a donor advised fund, the organizations may change each year, depending on where the donor-advisors see the greatest need.
