Raymond shibley

Ray Shibley, a 1942 State High graduate and an attorney in Washington, D.C., was always active in organizations.  He began early, joining the high school student government.  Ray made this bequest to provide grants for State College High School student projects approved by student government.    

How Does it Help?

The great aim of education is not knowledge but action.

This fund supports activities that enhance the educational experiences of the high school students, as per the State College Area High School Student Government activities grant application process.  The mission of the SCASD is to prepare students for lifelong success through excellence in education. The district draws its students from a 150 square mile attendance area encompassing the Borough of State College and the surrounding townships of College, Ferguson, Halfmoon, Harris, and Patton, totaling an enrollment of approximately 6,900.
