Stump Family Music Fund

Enhancing the music programs at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church

Story of Fund

Fund general arts

Dr. Derald William and Jean Conway have had a lifelong interest in music. Derald has founded and directed school and cathedral choirs and Jean led the music cataloging team at Pattee Library. They have also been longtime members of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, where Dr. Derald served as Associate Rector.

How Does it Help?

Beautiful music is the art of the prophets that can calm the agitations of the soul; it is one of the most magnificent and delightful presents God has given us.

This fund provides support for, and promotes community outreach of the fine music program of the parish of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.  The church is integral to community outreach not only by its close proximity to the university, the regional library, schools and community athletic fields, but also by its highly visible presence in the heart of downtown State College, where the community gathers for sporting events, theater productions, parades, activities and annual events such as the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts and First Night State College.
