Music at Penn's Woods Fund

Classical music by professional musicians and PSU faculty, alumni, and students

Story of Fund

Penns woods

Music at Penn’s Woods is a unique summer music festival in the  central Pennsylvania region. Showcasing the talents of outstanding community musicians and Penn State faculty, alumni, and students, the festival presents superior musical performances of the great works from the chamber music and orchestral repertories. Initially started through Penn State a number of years ago and then stopped for a period of time, Music at Penn's Woods was restarted through the dedication of a small group of classical music enthusiasts in the community, and has blossomed into a successful two-week event.  Every June, audiences get to enjoy four nights of classical music performed by the best local professional musicians along with outstanding faculty, students, and alumni of the Penn State School of Music.

How Does it Help?

Music can change the world because it can change people.
