Centre Foundation invites qualified nonprofit organizations to apply for its annual 36-hour online giving event by visiting CentreGives.org ahead of the Feb. 16 deadline. This year, Centre Foundation will be hosting their seventh annual Centre Gives event on May 8 and 9, 2018.

“Each year, we are thrilled to see this event grow and improve the lives of thousands in our community,” said Molly Kunkel, Executive Director at Centre Foundation. “It was also very exciting to see the number of participating organizations increase to 150 last year.”

Since Centre Foundation launched Centre Gives in 2012, over $5 million has been invested into the local non-profit network—strengthening the Centre County community in the areas of education, environment, animal welfare, the arts, and health and social services.

“Once again, Centre Foundation will provide a $100,000 stretch pool along with additional prize money,” continued Kunkel. “Donations made during Centre Gives are stretched further, which helps donors make a bigger impact with their generosity!”

To apply, please create an account for your organization at CentreGives.org. As in previous years, participating organizations will once again have the opportunity to sharpen their fundraising, communication, and donor appreciation skills during the Centre Gives Success Series. Attendees must register for sessions, which will be held at Centre Foundation’s office throughout the month of March.

The schedule and topics for each training session are as follows:

  • Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm - Crafting Your Story
  • Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm - Spreading the Word
  • Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm - Engaging Your Donors
